Ravenclaw 101
Tips and tricks on how to be a Ravenclaw
In the magical world of Harry Potter, there are 4 houses that Hogwarts’ students get sorted into. The students get sorted into houses based on their personality traits. Gryffindor’s traits are courage, bravery, and chivalry. Main characters, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, are all members of the infamous Gryffindor house. Other houses such as Hufflepuff represent loyalty, patience, and friendliness. Slytherin, housing Draco Malfoy, has a reputation of being the “bad house”, and has traits of cleverness, determination, and ambition. Last but not least, Ravenclaw, one of the houses with blue and gray colors, represents wisdom, wit, and intelligence. This is evident when it comes to Ravenclaw’s motto, “Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure”. Being a Ravenclaw means not only to have articulate thinking and resourcefulness, but also finding innovative solutions to problems. The first tip to being a Ravenclaw is having resilience. Resilience is important to life, allowing for one to think on their feet and think of solutions with last minute problems. You will have many encounters with a job, or school, that will cause for quick decision making. Many Ravenclaw’s have this trait, thinking on their feet. So if you are aspiring to have the Ravenclaw qualities, resilience is definitely one to have. The second tip is to always be productive and ambitious. It’s very easy to get side tracked with other useless things in life, but staying on track with jobs or schooling is crucial to having the Ravenclaw traits. Cleverness and determination are also key elements to have the Ravenclaw “It Factor”. Wittiness and thinking on ones feet, once again, are important qualities that the Ravenclaw house represents. One trick on how to be witty and clever is to question everything, and have the desire to learn. These attributes contribute to being a Ravenclaw, representing the house accurately. These tips and tricks should be helpful to achieving dreams of being a Ravenclaw!
