Super Bowl 2023

This year’s 2023 super bowl was one for the books. It was one of the highest-scoring super bowls in the history of the National Football League. It featured two of the youngest quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts, to face off in a super bowl. The super bowl is so big that franchises like the New York Mets spent 7 million dollars for a 30-second super bowl ad. The first super bowl in 1967 was between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers beat the Chiefs 35-10 at the LA Coliseum. This time, the Chiefs fought their way back into the Super Bowl and beat a very dangerous and explosive Philadelphia Eagles team 38-35. This was also a very emotional super bowl. Two brothers faced off against each other for the first time in the Super Bowl. Travis Kelve from the Kansas City Chiefs came up victorious over his older brother Jason Kelce. There were also many players teary-eyed, just soaking up the moment. Win or lose, all of these players made tremendous sacrifices to get to where they are today. During and after the game, many players, even on the winning team, complained about the grass after the super bowl show. They’re saying that objects on the ground made the turf wet during the show, and players were slipping left and right. Many players called out the NFL for not thinking their ideas through. There was also a very controversial holding call on James Bradberry from the Philadelphia Eagles, which ended up costing the Eagles the game. From there on, the Chiefs killed the clock down to about 7 seconds, and they made the game-winning field goal to go up by three. With that being said, many people say they need to moderate the holding rule only to where they see a jersey pull. People still love and appreciate the game, no matter what the outcome of the game is. Some fans may just be more upset than others.
