Calling All Patriots: Relay for Life Sign Up is Open
Relay for Life registration is now open! Relay for Life is an event to raise money for cancer awareness.
Relay for life was started by Dr. Gordon “Gordy” Klatt when he walked 24 hours around a track in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Gorden got the idea to have teams do the walk to raise more awareness for the cause. Friends, family, and patients of Dr. Gordon helped to raise $27,000 to help save lives from cancer. A year later in 1986, 19 teams were part of the first ever Relay For Life and they ended up raising $33,000. The Relay For Life event will be held on April 29, 2022 and the location is yet to be announced.
