The Top Ten Movies To Watch During The Holidays

The holiday seasons are upon us and who doesn’t want to watch a good holiday movie on the couch with their family? I have gathered a list of ten of the best holiday movies I think you should watch this year.

10. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
Starting at number ten is A Charlie Brown Christmas where it gives a good christmas scene where in the plot of the movieCharlie Brown is on a mission to create a christmas themed play. A Charlie Brown Christmas is a cheering movie that entertains all during the holiday season.

9. Good Luck Charlie It’s Christmas (2011)
At number nine is Good Luck Charlie It’s Christmas. In this movie the Duncan family travels to their grandparents house where everything seems to be going wrong in the beginning but towards the end things seem to be just fine. This is a great and funny movie to watch during the holidays.

8. Friday After Next (2002)
At number Eight we have a special quote from Almari Brown, he said “Friday After Next because the movie is funny.” This movie is a great movie to watch during the holidays because of its christmas theme and the comedy that they tie into the movie.

7. The Polar Express (2004)
At number seven is The Polar Express because it’s a classic christmas movie and it has a great story to it. Suhani also states “My favorite movie to watch during the holidays is the polar express because it brings me back to my childhood.”

6. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Coming in at number six isThe Nightmare Before Christmas because of the huge change for the main character (Jack Skellington) in the film and the nice and different style of animation they used in the movie. Abbey says “My favorite movie to watch during the holidays is The Nightmare Before Christmas because the design of the film gives off a good Christmas vibe.”

5. A Christmas Carol (2009)
The movie that will be taking the number five spot is A Christmas Carol, where the main character faces adversity for his cold hearted actions and he is forced to change his ways for the better.

4. The Santa Claus (1994)
At number four I decided to put The Santa Clause because many people have watched this movie during the holidays and consider it a classic, including me. The story features a man who accidentally kills another man in a Santa suit and starts to become Santa and a lot of work ends up being placed into his hands.

3. How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
For number three I chose How The Grinch Stole Christmas because of the Christmas theme, and how the grinch realized that Christmas really isn’t that bad. Tre stated that “ The Grinch is my favorite holiday movie because I can relate to the grinch.” Jessie also said “The Grinch because the main character is funny and I like how they all come together at the end.”

2. Home Alone (1990)
I Chose the put Home Alone at number two because is a great movie for the family to watch during Christmas time because of the christmas theme and the great plot, where the main character gets left at home while his family is on christmas vacation and he fights off two men that are trying to break into their house. Thomas and Kayden both said “Home Alone is our favorite movie to watch during the holidays because it’s a classic movie to watch during the winter time.”

1. Elf (2003)
For the final spot at number one I put Elf because it is an extremely funny movie to watch and it is a joyful movie to see during the holiday time. In the movie the main character goes to New York to meet his father after being taken in by Santa since birth, but he later finds out that his dad is on the naughty list because he doesn’t believe in Santa. Lillie says “My favorite holiday movie is elf because Will Ferrel is a great comedy throughout the movie.”
